Week 07 - 1

Duoduo

Duoduo is my little dog. It is five years old and it has accompanied with me for almost four years. I bought it in Chongqing which is located in west-south of China. It is a poodle with champagne hair. Duoduo is so smart. If you have something it wants in your hand, it would sit on the ground and put one of his paws on your hand. It means that it wants to shake hands with you and shows its love in order to beg you give the things it wants. It always brings our families happiness. My mom is a enthusiast of poodle. After I came to Canada, my father always busy at work, so my mother said she feel bored and bought another mini poodle with chocolate hair named Qiuqiu. She always recommends poodle if someone wants to have a dog. One of my mother’s friends bought a poodle with grey hair last month. She thinks it is so pretty and she plans to buy a third one. I afraid that after I graduated from university and go back home my house will become a “Poodle Paradise.”

Week 06 - 2

Gulang Island

Gulang Island is situated in the southwest of Xiamen in China. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in my country. In summer holiday, it is a preferable place for graduates. I have been there for several times because I always accompanied with my father to Xiamen for business. There are some breathtaking sites in this island, such as Shuzhuang Garden and Sunlight Rock. Tourists feel peaceful there because of no car and tall buildings can be seen there. In addition, there are a lot of European buildings can be found there. In this island, the piano museum expressed me most. It exhibits more than 70 precious and priceless pianos. There is a largest organ museum in the world. Therefore, this island is regarded as the “music island” by Chinese. You can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sea but also take a walk on the alley. On the alley, there are a lot of cafe and snack bar. Traveler can appreciate the local food and have a rest to drink a cup of coffee.

Week 05 - 2

The legend of 1900

The legend of 1900 is a Italian movie, starring Tim Roth. It is recomposed by textual composition of Alessandro Baricco <<1900: Monologue>>. This movie talked about a infancy was abandoned in the ship “Virginian” and it was found by a worker, Danny. Because it happened in 1900, so Danny named this baby “1900”. 1900 was a talent of piano, but he never get off the ship. His friend Max convinced that if he got off the ship, he would get honor and money; however, he refused and said he doesn't admire the life in the land. 1900 was attracted by a girl, but finally the girl got off the ship. He hesitated to follow the girl, but finally he didn't. The plot depressed me most is the competition between 1900 and another pianist. After 1900 played the piano, he put a cigarette to the string and the cigarette lit. It was so exciting and awesome. I am pond of this movie very much.

Week 05 - 1

A little girl born with a gift

Emily Bear, a thirteen-year-old girl, is an American composer and pianist. Quincy Jones, who was the producer of some Michael Jackson's albums, is her teacher. When she was two years old, her grandmother found the musical potential of Emily Bear, so grandmother sent her to the music school. Emily Bear didn't make her grandmother disappointed and she made a great achievement. She started to compose when she was three years old. When she was six years old, she played at the White House for President George W. Bush. She is the talent of music and is considered as “ the second Mozart”. One of her compositions, “Q”, is my favorite one. She is good at combining the classic music with jazz music, which makes her compositions unique and special. I am surprised that such a little girl have this artistic talent. I am the fan of this little girl. I desire to have opportunities to watch her on-the-spot performances in the future.

Week 04 - 2

Love is the origin of hate

Maleficent used to be a powerful and outgoing fairy until she meets a man and falls in love with him eventually. Harm is the origin of evil. The poor man is so eager to stand out and own the power that he betrays Maleficent. The king of the kingdom wants the life of Maleficent, although the man do not kill her, he brings a pair of wing of Maleficent. After Maleficent wakes up, she feels painful and the love and believe are broken. She becomes dark and evil. She curses the man's daughter will never wake up unless she gets a true love kiss. After getting along with the girl, she finds that the girl is too adorable to let  Maleficent forget the pain. She tries to change the incantation but it doesn't work.
In my opinion, Maleficent is a bad guy but with conscious. She is noble and beautiful but adorable and kind. In some traditional books, kindness is kindness, kind people are born with kindness; evil is evil, bad people are born with evil. But most of the evils have reasons, and a chief reason is harm. For example, a large number of the murderers experienced abusing when they were young. They are kind before they feel the spite of the world.

Week 04 - 1

Alice in wonderland

Through the movie, Mad Hatter asks Alice many times for a question “Why is a raven like a writing desk?”. Actually, I do not know why until I saw a comment yesterday. The answer is "no reasons". Last time Alice went to wonderland, she told Mad Hatter that she loved him. He asked why, and she said "because raven like a writing desk". When he asked the reason, she said nothing at that time. During the second time Alice comes into wonderland, she forgets she has said these words and thinks is a dream. Mad Hatter is sad and disappointed because he thinks she will miss the old days. Finally he said "I know you will forget me".
Mad Hatter is the most special person who gives Alice all the things and asks for nothing. The world is boring and bland, only that guy can bring you all the surprise and exciting. He helps her get over all the difficulties; he is brave and wise; he tries his best to protect her; he is satisfied easily only after she said "I think I will miss you".
You are the poison.
The eyes of Mad Hatter is telling story, please be quiet and listen.

British Museum

Last summer holiday, I went to England with my relatives to visit my aunt, who is the sister of my mother. After several day of travelling, I think the British Museum is the most interesting place in England. British Museum located next to the Bedford Square. This museum has a lot of divided sectors to showcase different cultures. The one impressed me most is the culture of Egyptian mummy. It seems like everyone have interested in the mummies, because there was a long queue await. I learned the origin and development of culture of mummy. There are a lot of exhibitions are used to introduce the culture of mummy, such as pictures, documents and even real mummies. If you want to know a particular object more comprehensive, you can rent an electric device, which is like a mobile. You can put the numbers which show on the label of objects, you can hear more details of it. I am so disappointed that the mummy disappeared.
